Passionate about all things design, Mary Burton has spent more than two decades leveraging her knowledge as a user experience professional to deliver exceptional product experiences. Her curiosity, penchant for team-building, and mastery of customer preferences and behaviors, serve her well as 8th Light’s Design Director.

A skilled business developer with a focus on global collaboration, Mary’s prior experience includes user research, strategy, and digital experience leadership for American Family Insurance, Emergo by UL, UL LLC, GE Healthcare Digital, State Farm, IBM, and Accenture.

She’s been a featured speaker at talks on topics such as AI and UX, serves as the chair of Speculative Futures Milwaukee, and is a mentor for the mHUB, a manufacturing startup incubator.

After graduating from Albright College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology-Business, Mary went on to earn her Masters in Technical Communication: Human-Computer Interaction from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
