Jenny Farver

Jenny Farver is a technology leader whose career has centered on high-growth startups. Across roles from software developer to CTO, her focus has been building software that users love, making data analytics practical and impactful, and creating great teams and workplaces for technologists. She’s an on-and-off academic, former stay-at-home mom, and holder of five patents.

Jenny first served on 8th Light's Board of Directors from 2018 to 2020 before joining the company full time. She's served as a CTO or VP of Engineering at several Chicago tech startups. Jenny earned her BS in Civil Engineering and Civil Regional Planning from UC Berkeley, her MS in Transportation from MIT, and her PhD from MIT in Civil Engineering, Algorithms, and Transportation.

A noted public speaker, Jenny has presented at national conferences with leading executives in the industry, as well as on webinars and panels covering a variety of topics.
