John Burrans

A skilled entrepreneur with a long history of working with IT startups and SMEs, John Burrans combines his talent for relationship building with his experience in acquisitions and C-level negotiations to identify and develop new business opportunities. As 8th Light’s UK Business Development Director, John leads our sales and client-relationship efforts by leveraging the expertise and experience of 8th Light’s team to create new strategic partnerships.

Over the course of his distinguished career in business development, John has served as business development manager for companies such as: Chorus, DWCC, Softwire, and PGS Software. He spearheaded opportunities for development that included expanding the scope of work done by Softwire to include consultancy and bespoke software development.

With a track record of excellence in highly demanding sales environments, John’s commitment to his clients’ success makes him a seamless fit with the rest of 8th Light’s leadership.

After graduating from Newcastle University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Archaeology, John went on to earn his Masters in Archaeology from University of Bristol.
