Kevin Kotowski

Kevin Kotowski has been a driving force in software development across a wide range of industries and roles for more than 25 years. Currently serving as 8th Light's Executive Consultant, Kevin partners with clients as a successful advisor rooted in his fundamental belief that people are happier when their work is connected to their organization's vision in an authentic way.

Kevin began his career as a software engineer working on SAP at Dow Chemical. He demonstrated his early management experience at cars.com by implementing a development methodology, and went on to build a white label sister system to search for homes (homefinder.com). He was responsible for program management and system architecture that grew from hundreds of users per day to millions of users per day on 140 daily newspaper websites, including L.A. Times, Chicago Tribune, and Washington Post.

Prior to joining 8th Light, Kevin served as the CTO of two consumer-facing startups and CTO in residence/on-site mentor supporting all of the startup CTOs enrolled in Chicago's TechStars accelerator program. He earned his Bachelor of Administration degree with a focus in Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
