Matthew Higgins

In his role as Project Director, Matthew Higgins brings his experience as a software developer and passion for using technology to craft elegant solutions to real-world problems for our clients.

Matthew built an MVP of a time-tracking application that integrates with Slack. The Scala application allows users to submit the number of hours they worked on a particular feature, and the amount of that time they had to spend understanding the code before they could contribute. Managers can access the data and analyze it for trends in their workflow.

Before joining 8th Light, Matthew worked as a full-stack developer for a startup in the legal industry, and as a front-end developer for a marketing engine. Before pursuing a career in software development, Matthew earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in French Literature from Miami University of Ohio.
