Meet Your Hosts

Emily Lewis-Pinnell helps senior business leaders and boards navigate the hardest part of AI adoption: what happens after the pilot. Her focus is squarely on the operational and governance questions that determine whether AI holds up in production: where it creates real value, what conditions have to be in place, and how organizations build the discipline to sustain it.
She founded Evaila after two decades leading large-scale technology transformation at the intersection of business strategy and technical delivery. At NTT Data, she built and led the Cloud Transformation Practice, overseeing engagements across financial services, retail, manufacturing, and hospitality with clients including Fidelity, Wells Fargo, Mastercard, Hilton, BMW, and Toyota. Prior to NTT Data, she held senior strategy, portfolio, and sales leadership roles at Dell Technologies. She holds a BS in Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Today, through Evaila, Emily advises senior leadership teams and boards, across industries and at scale, on AI readiness, governance frameworks, and practical implementation. Her focus is the organizational and decision-making infrastructure that determines whether AI investments hold up: the conditions that technical teams need their business counterparts to get right.
Emily brings a perspective that is rare in rooms skewed toward technical leadership: she has lived on both sides of the table, as a practitioner who has delivered complex transformations at scale, and as a business-side advisor who measures success not by rollout completion, but by whether AI actually changes how teams work.

Travis Frisinger serves as Head of Agentic AI at 8th Light, where he leads engineering and strategy for building production-grade AI systems. He focuses on designing adaptive architectures that help organizations integrate AI into real-world workflows, improving decision-making, reliability, and operational clarity.
Travis brings a deep background in distributed systems and large-scale software delivery, with experience across logistics, telecommunications, and data-intensive platforms. His work spans LLMOps, context-aware retrieval, and agentic workflow design, with a strong emphasis on moving teams beyond experimentation toward secure, maintainable systems in production.
At 8th Light, Travis partners closely with engineers, product leaders, and executives to align technical direction with business priorities. He is known for developing frameworks and platforms that reduce complexity, improve developer effectiveness, and bring coherence to fast-evolving systems.
Travis also contributes to 8th Light’s thought leadership around AI adoption, writing and speaking on topics such as context engineering, the AI Decision Loop, and human–AI collaboration. His work focuses on making AI systems understandable, observable, and usable in real production environments.
