In July, 8th Light leaders brought together a room full of transformative software professionals for an AI Summit at our Chicago office. Creative minds in product, design, and technology came together to discuss practical tools for prioritizing AI use cases. Subject matter experts — including 8th Light Head of Product Pia Opulencia and Head of Technology Brad Ediger — shared hands-on experience in designing AI solutions, providing attendees with a roadmap for integrating AI thoughtfully into their businesses.

Dan Mason, Head of AI at Stride, delivered a keynote address on the opportunities offered by AI and LLMs, including the potential for faster, better, and more cost-effective business outcomes, shifting the way individuals and teams work.

Additionally, our team highlighted new AI product design methodologies to help business leaders apply innovative principles to their AI applications. By using real-world examples and interactive sessions, participants were able to evaluate their own business through the lens of AI, and engage in hands-on workshops where they designed AI solutions tailored to their specific needs.

The AI Summit also featured a group discussion on the current state and future of AI including responsible practices, AI governance, and the impact of AI on the workforce. The interactive format allowed for a dynamic exchange of ideas, providing attendees with diverse perspectives on AI-related challenges and opportunities.
